b'Friday, Nov. 10The Opening General Session marked the official start of the Annual Meeting. Guests attended a multitude of sessions and workshops including the Student and New Periodontist Session, Medical Coding Workshop, and the third annual Robert J. Genco Perio-Systemic Symposium. The Networking Reception was held in the evening, as well as the AAP Awards Ceremony where AAP members were celebrated. The night concluded beautifully with the Dr. James T. Mellonig Memorial Dinner and AAP Foundation Hoedown.Saturday, Nov. 11Clinical and basic research was presented by current periodontal residents or students during the Research Forum Competition, which took place in the Exhibit Hall. Guests enjoyed more sessions and more learning opportunities, while also visiting the Exhibit Hall. The Exhibit Hall included partners and suppliers, the Member Resource Center, and even salty and sweet treats throughout the day! Here, guests also learned more about the Academys new Dental Hygiene Engagement Initiative.Sunday, Nov. 12The learning and mingling continued during multiple lectures and the Speaker Studio in the Exhibit Hall.
